TECHNICAL FRAMEWORKThe technical framework is divided into two sections: one part server and one part network. The general idea of this framework is to enable us to offer maximum availability to our customers.
Concerning the servers, the current machines are equipped with Intel Pentium IV Processors and all have at least 1 Go RAM. As far as the disk drives are concerned, all of our machines use RAID in order to guarantee a high level of performance and increased reliability.
iEUROP’s technical framework is backed up with secondary resources to assure maximum availability and minimal load times.
In order to successfully do this we use an IP connection through 2 transit suppliers, T-System/Deutsch Telecom (AS3320) and NTT/Verio (AS2914). Each is connected via optic links and the current maximum capacity of these links is 1Gb/s each. iEUROP manages its own IP network and therefore possesses their own AS (29629) allowing them to remain independent of all transit suppliers.
Furthermore, iEUROP’s network is linked to an internet exchange point (peering) situated in Paris (freeix http://www.freeIX.net). iEUROP has an open peering policy and accepts the exchange of traffic with all other operators present at this point. This allows us to offer optimal connection times for French and European customers.
